tempo al tempo 2016
The second edition of the improvised and experimental music festival Tempo al Tempo (time on time) took place in Brussels, on 13-14-15-16 October 2016.
Like last year, the festival offered a reflection on time - our Time - and will therefore be focused on the city and the relationship between artistic action and daily life in the urban context. A theme that we propose again with even greater conviction, given all that has happened and is happening here in Brussels, as elsewhere...
This year we extended our research/experimental approach. So even focused on improvised music, the festival offered several workshops, sound walks, meetings with artists and it will display videos, field recordings, texts, installations, photos and other visuals: utilised as basis for the improvisation and/or as stand-alone media.
The invited artists came from Belgium (Flanders and Wallonie), Austria, France, Italy, Portugal, Russia/USA, and UK/USA.
